| | A new, and innovative, online casino awareness campaign will soon be launched in Germany, with the possibility of expanding it into other European countries in the future.
A new, and innovative, online casino awareness campaign will soon be launched in Germany, with the possibility of expanding it into other European countries in the future. The campaign is intended to raise consciousness ahead of legal developments that may occur in Germany, and to try to keep online casino sites functioning in the country for the enjoyment of German gamblers. On December 13th ministers of 16 German provinces will debate the content of a new lottery bill, which is expected to include online casinos and sports betting sites.
The campaign, which is a first of its kind in Europe, is organized by an Austrian online casino gambling firm. "The campaign is an initiative by all the groups that are being damaged by the latest political moves" says Manfred Bodner, co-CEO of the online casino group. The plan right now is to spread the campaign via all the existing types of media, specially focusing at soccer stadiums, trying to reach as many Germans as possible.
According to Bodner, additional online casino awareness campaigns are scheduled to launch all around Europe in the next months through the European Betting Association. The organizers believe that with those campaigns they will be able to reach millions of people all around the continent, trying to convince them that the government's decisions regarding online casino sites are wrong. Only time will tell if the campaign will turn out to be a success or a failure, but no one will be able to say that they didn't do everything they could.
